A Divine Visitation: Reflecting on Our Outreach to Badagry Correctional Centre

Glory be to God Almighty!

We are overflowing with gratitude and joy as we reflect on the powerful and life-changing outreach program just concluded at the Correctional Centre in Badagry, Lagos. It was more than an event; it was a true house of divine visitation where the walls of confinement could not hinder the liberating power of the Holy Spirit.

The atmosphere was charged with God’s presence as the good news of Jesus Christ was proclaimed with clarity and compassion. We witnessed the incredible moving of God’s grace as over one hundred inmates responded to the altar call, stepping into the freedom that only salvation can bring. It was a sacred moment of healing, destiny restoration, and an overwhelming outpouring of God’s mercy. Each raised hand and each prayer of repentance was a testament to the fact that no one is beyond the reach of God’s transforming love.

This incredible work would not have been possible without our courageous and compassionate team of volunteers. You carried the light of the Gospel into that place without hesitation. You gave your time, your energy, and your love. We declare over you today: God will not forget your labour of love. He who promised is faithful, and your reward is sure. We pray that He blesses you abundantly and gives you the very gates of Badagry for a possession, in the mighty name of Jesus!

Brethren, the work is not yet finished.

A decision for Christ is the glorious beginning of a new journey. Our commitment to these new brothers and sisters continues through our follow-up actions. We will be upholding them in prayer, interceding for sustainability and strength so they may hold firmly to their confession and grow in their new faith.

Once again, from the depths of our hearts, we thank every one of you who participated. Thank you for not being ashamed to witness for Christ within the prison walls and the marketplaces of Badagry. Your obedience has eternal significance.
